US consumer report: Tesla Model s score exceeds full mark

Recently, according to the road test scores of its editorial department, the U.S. consumer guide named "10 best cars to drive". Tesla, an electric car brand from Silicon Valley, ranked first and second. What's more surprising, the consumer report gave Tesla Model s The score of p85d electric vehicle road evaluation is 103 points higher than the total score of 100 points.
According to reports, "consumer report" on the road evaluation of vehicles, at least 50 times on the track, road test evaluation. Due to the different working mode of motor and traditional internal combustion engine, the maximum torque can be achieved in an instant, which makes Tesla have better performance in terms of acceleration, explosive force and so on. In the test, it took only 3.5 seconds for the Tesla Model s p85d to accelerate from a standstill to 60 mph (about 96 km / h). The editorial department of consumer report described it as "exploding in a crazy mode", so its driving pleasure is incomparable with that of internal combustion engine vehicles. In terms of fuel economy, since the electric vehicle does not need to consume gasoline, according to the conversion mode of empg, the vehicle can achieve fuel consumption of 87 miles per gallon.
The consumer report lists 12 reasons why Tesla Model s p85d is the best to open. It also gives pertinent opinions from seven aspects, such as too high price, unable to drive long distance, high power consumption in low temperature environment, insufficient luxury model and new brand risk. Although the car scored 103 points according to the original standard, the Tesla Model s p85d score was adjusted to 100 points because it exceeded the 100 point limit set by the consumer report.
In addition, it is worth mentioning that Tesla's only two models on sale, model s p85d and model s, ranked in the top two of the "best to drive list". Model s got 99 points next to p85d. Meanwhile, considering the price and stability of the consumer report, this car also won the "recommended model" rated by the agency.
However, "consumer report" does not blindly believe that Tesla is the best car, especially some intolerable small problems. For example, consumer report once purchased a model s for long-term test. After driving for 20000 km, the test car had problems such as white touch screen, abnormal roof sound and trunk switch failure. Therefore, the agency also downgraded the model s.
In addition to Tesla, there are two Chevrolet cars on the list of "best cars to drive", with American cars occupying a total of four seats. The remaining six seats are all occupied by German luxury brands. However, Japanese cars, which are dominant in terms of stability, reliability and safety, have no chance to appear on the "best to drive" list. In fact, it's easy to understand. First of all, Japanese cars pay more attention to home use and are more excellent in fuel economy and comfort, which will inevitably sacrifice some performance performance. In addition, there are fewer sports cars and sedans with less ownership, and their luxury brand history is not long, which is obviously weaker than German brands which pay more attention to driving pleasure.
In terms of models, the "best car to drive" is also concentrated on sports cars and four door sedans, and no SUV model is selected. This is mainly because the car has a lower center of gravity, so it can handle better, especially when cornering, it will not roll too seriously and feel more stable and comfortable.
